Nick has been in Hong Kong since 1996 and has 30 years of experience in this field, and has provided training for over 100 different companies, organisations and government departments in Hong Kong.

    From Notes to Artistry: A Piano Masterclass with Maestro Huang Naiwei

    Mr Huang Naiwei

    Huang Naiwei is one of the most promising pianists in Hong Kong. His improvisational playing was highly praised by renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, who described him as an “impressive talent.” The legendary Chinese piano maestro Liu Shikun also commended him as one of the few pianists today who can improvise across various musical styles. Huang has performed solo concerts and delivered masterclasses throughout Asia and Europe. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and the Hong Kong City Chamber Orchestra, as well as with conductors like Tan Dun, Leung Kin-fung, and Zhangzhen. He was also invited to perform at festivals including the Mozart 260th Anniversary series, Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, Shenzhen International Piano Festival and Art Basel. Additionally, he has served as a judge in various competitions. He now works as a teacher and external examiner at several institutions, as well as a council member of the Greater Bay Area Art Education Association.

    Mr Rex Chiu Ho Yin

    Mr Rex Chiu graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in musical theatre. He was an awarded artist for the Distinct Actor in the 2nd Hong Kong Theatre Libre 2010 & Ex-Theatre Actor in the Shiki Theatre Company Japan (劇団四季) for his both triple threat but unique creative career. From 2008-2014, Rex is the Show Director and chief choreographer for the Ocean Park Halloween Fest at the Ocean Park Hong Kong. Rex now is the artistic director for the curative theatre company Autistic Genius and the convener of Hong Kong Street Dance Developing Alliance (HKSDDA).

    Mr Scofield Chan Ho Yin

    Mr Scofield Chan holds a Master of Arts in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2019, he was awarded First Prize in the Black and White category of the National Geographic Wheelock Hong Kong Photo Contest. He has collaborated on photography projects and exhibitions with organisations such as the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Leica Hong Kong, PENTAX Hong Kong, LOMOGRAPHY, and various galleries. Scofield is a multi-disciplinary professional. In addition to coordinating accredited photography courses at schools, he is also active on social media platforms including Instagram and YouTube, where he runs the channel “Photo Daily Scofield Chan” sharing street photography experiences. For Scofield , photography is a creative medium with vast possibilities. It can take the form of traditional salon photography, serve as an artistic exploration of the medium itself, or become a heartfelt means of engaging with and understanding one’s life and city.

    Mr Jose Vazquez

    Mr Vazquez is a seasoned TESOL educator with over a decade of experience in teaching diverse communities of language learners. Specialising in communicative competence and task-based methodologies, he has designed and implemented innovative in-person and hybrid programs that prepare learners for academic and professional success. With a growing expertise in leveraging GenAI tools and digital platforms, Mr. Vazquez fosters engaging, tech-driven learning environments. Currently lecturing for various institutions across Hong Kong, Mr. Vazquez has extensive experience in teaching English to a diverse set of students from a variety of countries including courses in IELTS / TOEFL preparation, business English, English for academic / special purposes, advanced reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar. He has extensive international teaching experience, including in the USA, Mainland China, and Hong Kong SAR. A Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholar, Mr. Vazquez holds advanced degrees from US Institutions in TESOL and Higher Education Administration, as well as multiple certifications in teaching and leadership, he is also an active member of a variety of TESOL associations.     Dr Amos Yung, Programme Leader, Professional Doctorate of Education - a non-local doctorate degree programme in collaboration with the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom. Dr Yung specialises in applied linguistics, professional communication, and language education. He holds a Doctorate in Applied Language Sciences from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, along with an MA in English Language Studies, an MBA from the University of Hong Kong, and a BSocSc in East Asian Studies. Dr. Yung’s research interests include interprofessional communication, clinical handover, and corpus linguistics, with a particular focus on how language functions in professional and institutional contexts. He also explores the use of natural language processing (NLP) tools to support language analysis and communication research.

    Mr Ken Pang is a senior language teacher and language expert. He has previously worked at local secondary schools and the University of Hong Kong. He is currently a Programme Director, Senior Lecturer, and Deputy Leader (Chinese Language) of the Centre for Language Education and Assessment at HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). Over the years, he has led various research and development projects commissioned by the Education Bureau, Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR), and the Quality Education Fund. His work covers areas such as Applied Linguistics, language education for ethnic minorities, language support for kindergartens, and Putonghua promotion initiatives. He also serves as a council member of the Hong Kong Children’s Arts Association.

Over the years, he has been dedicated to philosophical practice, having served as a guest host for the Metro Radio program "Worry-Free Break Room" and a featured speaker on RTHK's "Encyclopedia Roaming." He is also a registered practicing philosophical counselor with the American Philosophical Practitioners Association (APPA) and a founding board member of the Hong Kong Philosophical Practitioners Association (HKPPA).     Mrs Winnie Lee has over 30 years’ experience working in the education and counselling field. She started her career as a Social Worker in the Family Services of the Social Welfare Department in HK, then she was employed as a Child and Educational Psychologist in Australia for 9 years before working as a Counselling Psychologist in a local university for over 20 years. She now works privately as a counselling psychologist and a part-time lecturer cum clinical supervisor in local universities. With her many professional qualifications and extensive work experiences, Mrs Lee is well experienced in counselling cases of different nature including emotional problems, stress and anxiety, parenting, couple/family relationships, children with behavioural and emotional difficulties, mental health issues and other personal issues. She is knowledgeable in conducting a wide range of psychological assessments and training programmes for counsellors, teachers and parents.

    Dr Rosa Kwok

    Dr Kwok Kit Wan specialises in translating evidence-based educational strategies into practical classroom applications. In her current role as Programme Director of Psychology at HKU SPACE (HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education), she brings extensive academic expertise to professional education. Her scholarly achievements have been recognised by University College London's Institute of Education, where she holds the position of Honorary Research Associate. Throughout her fourteen-year career in psychological research, Dr Kwok has established herself as both a prolific academic author, contributing significantly to international journals, and a sought-after speaker in the field of educational psychology. Her expertise is regularly shared through parental seminars, teacher training workshops, and professional conferences across the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China, where she has delivered hundreds of engaging presentations to diverse audiences.
