Welcome to the HKU SPACE Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP)

The Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP) is a reliable and secure system for verifying award parchments issued by HKU SPACE. 

In addition to official award parchments printed on paper, the ACVP enables HKU SPACE graduates to share their parchments in a secure electronic format utilising blockchain technology. Third Parties (e.g. academic institutions and potential employers) can verify the authenticity of such certification documents via the ACVP official website.

At the present stage, ACVP is available for the sharing of award parchments by graduates who complete a part-time, locally accredited, postsecondary (i.e. QF Level 4 and above) programme awarded within the HKU System through HKU SPACE from 1 January 2026 or thereafter. No application is required for using the ACVP and eligible graduate can use the service for free.  Students may, however, indicate the wish to not participate in the ACVP  by signing an “Opt-Out Statement”. How to Use the ACVP

For Graduates:

  1. Visit the official ACVP website and choose “Login”;
  2. Select “HKU SPACE” from the options;
  3. Enter your HKU SPACE student number and password;
  4. Read the Terms and Conditions carefully;
  5. Give consent to use the ACVP and  
  6. Select and download the PDF files and/or create a URL or QR for your award parchment to facilitate sharing with a third party.
  7. To guide Third Parties to take the appropriate follow-up actions, graduates are highly recommended to provide the following verification statement alongside the PDF files, URL or QR code: 

Verification Statement

The HKU SPACE issues electronic version of award parchment(s) in PDF format using blockchain technology and through the associated URL/QR code(s).  Please visit the ACVP official website (https://ACVP.hk) for viewing and verification details.

For Third Parties (such as academic institution and potential employers):
Verification of HKU SPACE award parchments can be done by the designated Third Parties (usually potential employers or institutions for further studies) by one of the following ways:

      1.    Upload or drag-and-drop the PDF files to the official ACVP website; or
      2.    Click on the URL provided by the graduate; or
      3.     Scan the QR code provided by the graduate.

The Platform will respond with the verification result in a few seconds.  Upon successful verification, the designated third parties will be prompted with a ‘Verified’ sign at the top of the page, meaning that the official certification concerned is proven authentic.  For failing cases, a prompt with ‘No Matched Credential’ will be shown.
