Arts, Design & CultureArts Management
The arts and cultural development in Hong Kong in recent years has spurred the need for quality education for managers/administrators in these sectors. The School offers both Master and Postgraduate Diploma programmes to provide practical and theoretical knowledge for those who are interested in pursuing a career in arts and culture, creative industries and museum management. These programmes are also suitable for art administrators, teachers, curators and event administrators who are already working in the cultural sector or museum and galleries sector, helping them to develop new knowledge and skills for career advancement.
It acknowledges the need for multi-skilled individuals who can both generate ideas for original arts and cultural events, and provide leadership for the teams that realise them. The programme is aimed at graduates with some work experience who wish to challenge themselves by developing innovative approaches to arts management and cultural production.
This programme, with its emphasis on transforming media and cultural practices, offers a broad approach that spans different sectors. It has been designed for postgraduate students considering a career in the media, culture or media arts industries, or those who want to work in research and education in these areas.
