Arts, Design & CultureArts Management
The arts and cultural development in Hong Kong in recent years has spurred the need for quality education for managers/administrators in these sectors. The School offers both Master and Postgraduate Diploma programmes to provide practical and theoretical knowledge for those who are interested in pursuing a career in arts and culture, creative industries and museum management. These programmes are also suitable for art administrators, teachers, curators and event administrators who are already working in the cultural sector or museum and galleries sector, helping them to develop new knowledge and skills for career advancement.
This programme represents a collaboration between HKU SPACE International College (IC) and Central Saint Martins (CSM), supported by HKU University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG). The entire programme consists of six modules (8 days), including an intensive three-day module delivered by a Central Saint Martins’ lecturer from London, five one-day modules led by HKU SPACE and industry experts from Hong Kong, Europe, Asia and China. The programme will end with one module being spent at local galleries and one module visiting some of the latest art spaces outside Hong Kong.
