The LAW you need, with the PROGRAMS you want
Law programs have been an integral part of HKU SPACE since our inception. We offer one of the widest range of law and dispute resolution programs in Hong Kong, from sub-degree to postgraduate level. With decades of experience in providing quality legal education in Hong Kong, many of our alumni are now leading members of the legal and business communities.
Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to:
- identify key legal issues affecting banking and commercial practices in Hong Kong;
- gain an updated knowledge on commercial law in Hong Kong and Mainland China; and
- design and implement legal risk management plans to combat commercial crimes and money laundering activities
Note: The “Commercial Crimes and Money Laundering Law” module is not a CEF Reimbursement course.
Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Law is designed to give you a sophisticated understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for the local and international financial sector, by taking an integrated approach to finance and law. Financial institutions need leaders who have extensive knowledge relating to the legal issues in international finance and banking.
This PGDFL creates a new kind of financial services professional: graduates who are trained in both finance and law. You will develop an advanced interdisciplinary understanding of relevant legal and financial contexts, and combines a highly analytic academic core with applications informed by current practice.
HK$10,000 per Law module
Applications will open in the next few months for the next intake with classes commencing in 2020. However there are still places to start studying on this year's intake of the Certificate in Legal Studies, which many students use as a starting point towards success on the Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (GDEHKL).
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Preparation Courses (University of London)
Two students who studied with HKU SPACE for the University of London LLB have received First Class Honours in 2018. They are the only First Class students in Hong Kong, and among the only three on the graduate-entry LLB worldwide. Huge Congratulations!
