Recognition of Prior Learning - Security Services Industry News

For the launch of RPL mechanism in the Security Services industry, there was a five-year transitional period, which ended on 30 June 2026. After this transitional period, practitioners applying for recognition of QF qualifications at levels 1 to 3 must undergo a written test.

The HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE) has been re-appointed by the Education Bureau to be the RPL Assessment Agency for the Security Services industry from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031.

To promote the latest development of RPL mechanism, a Re-appointment Ceremony for the RPL mechanism in the Security Services Industry will be held on 9 July 2026 at HKU SPACE Admiralty Learning Centre.
