    • Mr Chua Hwee Meng Kelvin (Registered Industrial-Organizational Psychologist Associate Fellow, Hong Kong Psychological Society)

    Mr Chua Hwee Meng Kelvin

    Mr Kelvin Chua is a part-time lecturer at HKU SPACE. He has deep hands-on industry experience, having worked for AIG and AXA as a department head in Human Resources. In 2011, his department won the AIG Team Achievement Award for outstanding performance. He also has extensive management consulting experience with Accenture, Aon Hewitt, Gartner, PwC and Willis Towers Watson, serving a broad range of clients in multiple industries and functions across strategy, organization and operations. His work focuses on leadership transformation aimed at improving organizational effectiveness and the roles of stress, coping and social support systems in health and wellbeing. He has advised top executives and policymakers, helping them to achieve clarity and purpose during periods of stressful organizational transformation and pandemics. Mr Chua is a Registered Industrial-Organizational Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. He has received accreditation as a Certified Compensation Professional from the WorldatWork. He holds a BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. He was sponsored by Aon Hewitt to complete the Human Resource Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

    Mr Gregory LAU Tat-keung

    A retired Police Superintendent, Mr. Lau possesses extensive experience in negotiation as a strategic negotiator. He served in the Police Negotiation Cadre (PNC) since 1990 until his retirement in 2013. Mr Lau has managed to persuade more than 200 people out of committing suicide through negotiation without a failure record. Mr. Lau is an expert trainer and coach in negotiation. His generous sharing of knowledge and skills are valuable not only for police personnel in PNC, but also general laymen in the society who are interested in leveraging on the negotiation skills to help people. Mr Lau has actively delivered talks and training to different government departments, schools, and organizations.

    Ms Cammy So

    Ms. Cammy So is an ISA Certified Arborist and is currently the president-elect of the Board of Directors of ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Hong Kong Chapter. The mission of ISA Hong Kong Chapter (ISAHK) is to promote the professional practice of arboriculture and foster a greater public awareness of the social health and environmental benefits of trees in Hong Kong. She is the Member of the Promotion & Consultation Subcommittee under Industry Training Advisory Committee in Arboriculture and Horticulture of Qualifications Framework (QF) and immediate past Chairman of ISAHK Certification Committee. She has been coordinating and supervising the organisation and operation of certification exams and assessments of ISA and ISAHK, as well as various arboricultural training and education programmes of ISAHK. Besides, she has been involved in various urban greening and tree management projects, as well as planning and leading education programmes on tree appreciation and conservation.

    Dr Huang Zhenyu

    Dr. Huang Zhenyu was a professor in consular studies with China Foreign Affairs University (2019-2022) and was once a visiting scholar (2008) with Stanford University. He had previously served in the PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs in several senior posts, including Counselor of the Office of the Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong SAR (2016-2019); Vice Consul General of Chinese Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2012-2015); deputy director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2012); and in other posts. He received an Honor of Third Degree from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in recognition of evacuating Chinese citizens from the war-torn Libya.

    Dr Junling Gao

    Dr. Gao is a part-time lecturer at HKU SPACE, specializing in the field of cognitive psychology. With a Ph.D in Neurology from HKU, he brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive research experience in neuroscience and neuropsychology to the classroom. His interdisciplinary approach to cognitive science has allowed him to publish numerous academic papers in psychology, medicine, neuroscience, and cognitive science. Drawing from his expertise in research and real-world applications, Dr. Gao has designed a dynamic and engaging curriculum that encourages students to participate actively in cognitive experiments and data analysis. By incorporating cutting-edge technology, such as brain-computer interfaces and AI, students have the opportunity to explore the intricacies of the human brain and its cognitive functions. Dr. Gao's unique approach to teaching not only provides students with a solid foundation in cognitive psychology, but also equips them with the practical skills needed to excel in related disciplines, such as human-computer interaction. With his guidance, students will gain a deeper understanding of the human mind and its cognitive processes, paving the way for future success in the rapidly evolving fields of psychology and cognitive science.

    The speaker Mr. Harry Chan is a Registered Professional Surveyor (General Practice), Registered Business Valuer of the Hong Kong Business Valuation Forum, Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Chartered Valuation Surveyor and China Institute of Real Estate Appraiser. He is currently the Managing Director of PSA (HK) Surveyors Limited and the Chairman of VPC Asia Pacific Group. He has over 25 years’ experience in real estate valuation and advisory and in investment markets in Greater China region. His market knowledge and experience have also extended geographically to Asian markets. The clients he served includes the Hong Kong SAR Government, statutory organisations, listed companies, property developers, real estate fund firms and financial institutions. Meanwhile, he has been teaching programmes on surveying at postgraduate and undergraduate levels in local and overseas universities.

    David was called to the bar in September 2020. His main areas of interest are in commercial law, commercial crimes and civil frauds. Prior to joining the bar, David worked in the aviation industry in flight operations management, which paves the way for him to specialize in aviation law, arbitration, mediation and litigation.

    Miss Ching Sau Man

    Ms. Ching Sau Man has served in both special and mainstream schools over 30 years. In her career path, she has held positions such as Principal of Child Development Centers and Education Centers, Vice Principal of subsidized primary school, Instructor at the Hong Kong Education Bureau's Fung Hon Chu Gifted Education Center, and Executive Director of various charitable organizations. She has received recognition such as Outstanding Student Award in Leadership Development Programme for Middle Leaders from Hong Kong Baptist University(香港浸會大學中層人員領導培訓課程), and Excellent Lesson Plan Award from the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association (香港通識教育協會). With extensive frontline experience in promoting inclusive education, education for the gifted, and parent support, Ms. Ching is currently a guest lecturer at the Hong Kong Education University and as tutor for some modules of Diploma in Special Education at the HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education.

    Mr Pan Ho

    Pan graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, majoring in Counselling and the University of Dayton (Dayton, OH. U.S.A) with a Bachelor’s degree in Music, majoring in Music Therapy and minor in Psychology. He was the training coordinator for the Institute for Therapy through the Arts and was responsible for clinical training and volunteer program and coordinated workshops and trainings for other organizations. He worked collaboratively with other creative arts therapist and provided assessment and treatment to adults and children with various needs. Pan is also one of the co-authors for the music therapy social skills assessment tool Music Therapy Social Skills Assessment and Documentation (MTSSA): Clinical guidelines for group work with children and adolescents and Music – Not that simple: Music therapy case sharing. Pan is one of the few Hong Kong music therapists with full-time overseas clinical experience. He is also the co-founder of the Institute for Creative Art therapy (HK) Ltd. He currently provides community based music therapy to various organizations and schools, as well as an adjunct lecturer at HKU SPACE to teach different levels of music therapy courses.

    Ms. Shannon Ho is an experienced architect, including 2 years practice in Chicago, USA. Shannon has strong architectural design sense and technical skills and is particularly experienced in project co-ordination, developing the design from concept till realization. She has successfully led and completed several integrated resort development projects in Macau and Asia. She has developed considerable expertise upon a wide spectrum of projects spanning from retail, high-end hospitality, large-scale commercial and integrated resort, to complex infrastructure development.

    Mr. Jango Wong has extensive experience in urban design, waterfront and mixed use development. He has been involved in a wide range of large scale projects coverage retail mall, residential and cultural development throughout Asia Pacific region. Jango's outstanding design leadership and current Kellogg HKUST eMBA candidate enable him to be the Executive Studio Chair (2016-2023) for Woods Bagot Hong Kong studio.
