Professor Frederick C Leung (Retired/Honorary), The University of Hong Kong

Professor Frederick C Leung is an internationally renowned Molecular Biotechnologist, elected in 2009 as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow based on his significant scientific achievements, and contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge. His passion lies in DNA sequencing research technology development and in applying DNA sequencing to address important research questions and projects. Prof. Leung has published 230+ peer reviewed ISI journal articles, comprising comparative bacterial genomics, evolutionary biology, metagenomics, virology, biofuel and animal endocrinology. He trained over 50 MPhil and PhD students and contributed 82501 nucleotide sequences deposited in GenBank.
