Mr. Dominic Leung (Honorary Associate Professor, Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, HKU)

Mr. Dominic Leung is the former Deputy Commissioner for Census and Statistics Department, HKSAR. He is now an Honorary Associate Professor of the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, HKU. Apart fromlecturing in HKU SPACE, he also lectures in HKU, PolyU and other tertiary institutions. Furthermore, he works as an independent statistical consultant.

Statistical information is an essential tool for enhancing our awareness and understanding of the social and economic developments of our society.  The talk aims to provide an overview of the use and demand for statistical information and demand for statistical workers in both the public and private sectors.
