OLQE Workshop (Head I - Conveyancing)

This workshop provides comprehensive instruction in the fundamental principles of land law, as well as the law and practice of conveyancing in Hong Kong. It covers both the substantive legal framework and the procedural aspects of conveyancing transactions. Weight is given to key examinable topics in the Conveyancing Head of the OLQE—such as Deed of Mutual Covenant (DMC), completionpriority of interests, and giving and proving title. Participants will be trained to analyse practical problems by identifying legal issues, applying relevant legal principles, offering appropriate practical advice, and drafting or amending conveyancing documents accordingly.

The workshop comprises a total of 36 instructional hours, delivered through 12 sessions of three hours each. These seminars will be structured as knowledge seminars with tutorials. These sessions will be conducted on a bi-weekly basis from August to October most on Saturday afternoon.
