POA Induction Workshop in ADC205 on 27 November 2019

• 52 colleagues from CBF, CHL, CLST, CC, ICB and SEA attended the 3-hour Programme Outcome Assessment (POA) Induction Workshop.

• Colleagues listened to a presentation about outcome-based learning and how to develop rubrics for programme outcome assessment.  Dr Boon Jang Lee and Dr Edgar Liu shared their experiences of filling out the POA Form.  Then colleagues were divided into groups and tried filling out the POA Form.  Colleagues shared their questions or comments afterwards which focused on how to identify one representative assessment item from one module to measure a programme-level intended learning outcome and how to develop rubrics and criteria for assessing internship experiences.

• Samples of completed POA forms and rubrics of different disciplines were also distributed for colleagues’ future reference.
