HKU SPACE offers a full range of Chinese language courses. Apart from Putonghua courses from beginner to advanced levels, including language training courses for teachers and professionals, the School also offers courses on Chinese dialects such as Cantonese and Minnanhua. Of special interest are our Cantonese and Putonghua courses specially designed for non-Chinese speakers. These courses are particularly suitable for learners with no or little knowledge of the Chinese language.

本課程以聆聽、朗讀為語言輸入，以語境傳意練習為主體，聽、說、讀結合，讓學員在語境中練習，在應用中提高。
| 本課程旨在讓學員有系統地掌握香港非華語幼兒中文讀寫學與教的理論。除教授有關非華語幼兒學習中文的理論知識外，本課程通過介紹中文第二語言的讀寫教學理論，培養學員對非華語幼兒學習中文的研究興趣、並能根據所學理論，編寫教案及探討相關的中文第二語言學與教議題。 |
This programme is run under the “Vocational Chinese Language Programme for NCS* School Leavers”, funded by the Language Fund and supported by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR), to help ethnic minority residents in Hong Kong integrate into the community. It aims at enhancing NCS school leavers' capability in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese and helping them obtain qualifications recognized by Hong Kong Qualifications Framework so as to enhance their employability.
