  • Mrs Winnie Lee (Counselling Psychologist)

Mrs Winnie Lee

Winnie has over 30 years’ experience working in the Educational Psychology and Psychological Counselling field. She had worked as an Educational Psychologist in Australia for 9 years and a University Counselling Psychologist in HK for over 20 years. She is now a part-time lecturer cum clinical supervisor and a Counselling Psychologist in private practice. Winnie started Mindfulness Training as early as 2004 and has obtained qualifications in teaching various Mindfulness courses. She now conducts Mindfulness training regularly for helping professionals, school communities, cancer patients, people with mental health issues and the general public. She is currently the lecturer for the Certificate Module in Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy in HKU SPACE.

Certificate for Module (Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy)

Research evidence in recent decades have shown that Mindfulness is effective in reducing stress and improving personal wellbeing. It has been used in counselling to help people with stress, anxiety, depression and other psychological health issues.

In this one-hour talk, Mrs Lee will introduce the basic concept of mindfulness and guide you to do some mindfulness exercises, experience self-awareness and mind-body connections. She will also talk about how  mindfulness can be applied to  counselling and its effectiveness.
