Eventful two decades through thick and thin

The HKU SPACE Community College was officially founded on 14 March 2000. In the history of higher education in Hong Kong, the School has played a pivotal role, connecting students to the universities they dreamt of, and taking them to the next chapter of their lives.

The College creates flexible, open and diversified learning opportunities for graduates from secondary school. It has grown from an institution with 750 students in the year 2000 to over 7,000 students at present. The number of faculty has also increased from about 30 to nearly 200 today. In the past two decades, about 25,000 students in total have successfully completed the College’s sub-degree programmes and entered the university.

Moving forward step by step, becoming forever strong and firm

The College aims to become a leader in the higher education circle and provide secondary school graduates with high-quality, diversified and comprehensive post-secondary education. They will help students improve themselves and be ready to meet future challenges. Looking back, the College has taken countless important steps - each step is steady and strong, each step deserves applause.
