In the era of big data, colossal amount of data is being generated every day from channels including social media, consumer profile, global economy, etc. These complications of data require us not only to describe and understand the information, but more importantly, to reveal crucial information to facilitate the best course of action. Therefore, the demand for the application of big data has increased sharply, which has led to the emergence of a cross-disciplinary independent subject, "Data Science", which has led to the systematic development and promotion of methods for dismantling big data.
The School is going to offer a range of Data Science programmes to provide students with professional knowledge and training that they will need to succeed in future endeavours and become competitive in the workplace.

“Hospital intelligence” is about making use of a variety of digital technologies, i.e. Big Data (BD). Business Intelligence (BI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) to connecting up the points of care electronically and to help healthcare professionals to deliver safer, better quality healthcare to patients. Currently, hospital healthcare professionals also facing many challenges varying from patients, colleagues, Government and other public sectors, and also political and legal framework which require them to have an accurate response or decision within a short period of time. Therefore, a well-established digital healthcare intelligence system is needed in the hospital sector.
