The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trend for digital transformation and Information technology to make hospitals and healthcare "smarter". Telehealth services, smart healthcare facilitated through machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) are being implemented to provide new dimensions in healthcare. The market for smart-hospital technology is expected to balloon to $83 billion by 2026. This is fuelled by aging population, rising expectations on the part of patients for access to high-quality care and improved patient experiences while containing healthcare costs.
