This programme aims to prepare registered nurses for an advanced role in a clinical nursing specialty, namely, Enterostomal Therapy Nursing (ETN), within a range of health care settings. It is essential that registered nurses are competent to provide high quality nursing care to patients requiring wound, incontinent and or stoma care.  
 

The programme aims to train healthcare professionals and those from related disciplines to develop the knowledge, understanding and competencies in mastering the advanced use of Information Technology skills in healthcare settings.

This programme aims to provide registered nurses advanced knowledge and skills in endoscopy and gastroenterology nursing. Upon completion of this programme, students will be able to take up a leadership role in that he/she is able to practice competently and effectively in the specialty areas of clinical gastroenterology based on evidence-based practice in the hospitals and in the community.

This programme is designed to offer a well-rounded education in health services management for contemporary health care managers who desire to enhance their management effectiveness in today's complex health care setting.  

This programme aims to share the contemporary thinking in relation to leadership theory and its relevance to professional practice.  Students will be supported to relate this theory to their own personal and professional development in addition critically exploring its capacity to impact on global, organisational and team dynamics. 

 

The Programme aims to equip enrolled nurses with essential competencies for safe, effective and ethical practice so as to achieve the requirement of the Core-Competencies for Registered Nurses (General) of the Nursing Council of Hong Kong (NCHK). Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the NCHK as Registered Nurses (General) [RN(G)] in Hong Kong.
 
 

The programme is designed to equip nurses with specialist knowledge and clinical skills in renal nursing through lectures, skills training classes, site visit and placement. The course content will cover renal disorders, application of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis include Arterial Vascular Access and care management of a patient with acute and chronic renal failure.  

This programme provides an opportunity for health care professionals who are working at all levels in oncology to develop their knowledge and skills. 
Module 1 Haematological Oncology for Health Care Professionals: introduces the aetiology and treatment of haematological malignancies in adults. 
Module 2 General Oncology for Health Care Professionals: provides a basic understanding of the principles of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy in cancer treatment. 
Module 3 Palliative Care for Health Care Professionals: develops the specialised knowledge and skills of health care professionals working in hospice and or in oncology units.

This programme aims to develop a deep and critical understanding of the impact of frailty on an individual’s health and well-being, both physically and psychologically. 

It will provide students with an opportunity to debate and evaluate evidence based, person centred strategies and/or interventions (such as falls management) for active ageing, self-management and independence, in an inter-professional context. Students will critically evaluate the application of these approaches in their own individual practice area. 

This programme focuses on critically applying knowledge and understanding to support service development for people with long term conditions’; promoting self-management and collaborative working. This programme is based on best practice discussed within national and international policy and guidelines. It will explore in depth the impact of long-term conditions on the individual, their family and carers.

 

The programme aims to encourage practitioners to further develop their knowledge and skills in order to maximise person centred care during routine practice and develop services to support individuals with long term conditions’ in line with health and social care policy.
