Hong Kong's cultural and creative industries have grown at a rate faster than the overall economy in recent years. This Programme is designed  to equip you with practical knowledge of the activities, structures and processes involved in the management in this dynamic sector.

This programme approaches design management as a field of study that goes beyond a strategic function of business, to be a catalyst for social and organisational change and planetary health. Design managers must become adept at understanding the systems behind designed products and services and the audiences they serve in pursuit of a climate, racially and socially just world.

This course will provide you with a thorough understanding of the major theoretical, methodological and professional themes at the forefront of contemporary museum studies. It will equip you with the practical and theoretical experience needed to become a creative and effective museum and gallery professional or to further advance your career in the sector.

The course is designed to be flexible, so you can choose when to study. It offers carefully designed teaching material and reading which offer flexibility and allow you to fit your study around other commitments. These materials are delivered through online resources in the University’s virtual learning environment, Blackboard. This includes recorded lectures, international case studies of museum practice, guided readings, group discussions and self-led activities to support your learning.

MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise is the first-of-its-kind Master's programme offered in both London and Hong Kong by Central Saint Martins, a leading institute in arts and design education for 150 years under UAL, a world Top 2 university for art and design.  
 

This Masters Programme​ acknowledges that we are living in a fast-changing, globalised world, which presents a great number of opportunities and challenges for cultural innovation. It takes these changing conditions as a starting point to engage you in developing new knowledge and skills in order to manage cultural projects in the UK and around the world. It has been developed specifically in response to an increasing need for multi-skilled individuals who can both generate the ideas for original arts and cultural events, as well as provide leadership for the teams that realise them. These individuals will be dynamic, responsive, and fluent in public and private sectors, and have the ability to collaborate and develop networks.

Through a combination of lectures, tutorials and student presentations, this programme enables students to define methodological terms, concepts, and processes in media and cultural studies. This helps students make critical judgments on researches commonly used in media and cultural industries, and to design and apply research methodologies to research on media messages, media production and consumption. The programme also aims to equip students with the independent research skills they will need to flourish in academic and vocational contexts, and to carry out basic research in order to produce a piece of academic writing.

This programme serves as a platform for students to share their musical experiences and knowledge through performing during the lessons.  It provides students with an opportunity to perform in front of an audience (the whole class), and receive feedback and suggestions from the lecturer and other guest lecturers.  The recital opportunity will further enhance students’ skills and musicianship, broaden their repertoire knowledge, and develop their interpretational abilities.

The programme explores representative solo keyboard repertoire from the Baroque period to the 20th century, ranging from the elementary to advanced levels (ABRSM Grade 3 to diploma level). Special attention will be given to stylistic distinction in representative keyboard works in relation to the socio-cultural context in which the music was created and performed.

本课程旨在培养学生成为钢琴演奏家和教师的进阶技巧及能力。课程除了为学生提供专门的钢琴演奏训练外，还对学生的教学知识和钢琴教学能力进行鑽研，使学生能够在钢琴教学中形成一系列的教学方法。本课程亦涵盖音乐研究技巧与方法，以便学员将来进修音乐研究。

本课程旨在培养粤剧及粤曲教学人才，主要为香港的粤曲演唱者、粤曲导师、粤曲拍和乐师及一般粤曲研究者提供一个专业及系统性学习及钻研粤曲教学的机会，使他们能够在既有的粤曲演唱、教学、伴奏和研究基础上，获得专业粤剧及粤曲教学培训，包括粤剧及粤曲教学的理论和实践、教程和教材设计、粤语声韵与粤曲声腔、粤曲唱腔音乐的历史演变，和板腔、说唱曲式及曲牌结构分析，藉以提升香港粤剧及粤曲导师的质素和粤剧及粤曲的教学水平。
