Or you can qualify as a Barrister of one of the historic Inns of Court in London. Start your law studies on either HKU SPACE's Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (CPE) or the University of London LL.B. Preparation Courses and, under current rules, you only need one year of further study in the UK on a Bar Training Course to be eligible for Call to the Bar as a Barrister in London.# Add on one more year of pupillage to practice law in England. Preparation Courses and Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (Common Professional Examination) are exempted courses under the Non Local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance. It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which these courses may lead.
