This programme aims to equip students with in-depth knowledge of enterprise risk management and essential skills for risk management analysis. It also provides a channel to students in obtaining an enterprise risk management professional qualifications, and at the same time, prepares them to articulate to Postgraduate Diplomas and MSc Risk Management.

Uncertainty presents both risk and opportunity, with the potential to erode or enhance value. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) enables managers to effectively deal with uncertainty, associated risks and opportunities. It focuses on implementation of risk management programmes for an enterprise.

  1. Target at Professionals, Particitioners and Executives. Student Profile included Risk Managers, Regulators, Compliance Managers and Auditors.
  2. Aims to equip students with in-depth knowledge of enterprise risk management and essential skills for risk management analysis.
  3. Holders of ED ERM with at least five years of supervisory and management level working experience are eligible to apply for a certificate of professional development by DNV GL Business Assurance Limited in "Enterprise Risk Management Professional", conditions apply.

    * 1)    Module of Financial Management will be exempted for graduates of ED ERM, admission conditions apply.    
                                                                                   
  ** 2)    ED ERM Modules will be exempted in PgD ERM; admission to PgD ERM is subject to meeting PgD ERM entry requirement.  For students who are directly articulation from ED ERM to PgD ERM, exemption fee is waived. 

*** 3)   Pgdip ERM) graduates who have completed the *pre-requisite modules, would be exempted 120 credits and only need to study the module of ‘Research Methods’ and also submit a 12,000-word dissertation to attain the award of MSc Risk Management by Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).

Remarks:
(1) Students are not allowed to take ED ERM and PgD ERM concurrently.
(2) Details of updated exemption policy can be obtained from programme team. 

Automatic Exemption

Graduates of Edinburgh Napier University Master of Science in International Banking and Finance will be given FBRM unit exemption.

Applicants should

  • hold a bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized university or equivalent; or
  • have achieved a level in relevant professional qualifications equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
  • Applicants with other qualifications and substantial senior work experience will be considered on individual merits.

Professional Qualification

Graduates of Executive Diploma in Enterprise Risk Management (ED ERM) are eligible to apply for DNV GL Business Assurance Limited's certificate in "Enterprise Risk Management Professional".  

Conditions:

1.  At least 5 years of relevant working experience;
2.  Obtained A in both modules in ED ERM.

Applications are subject to DNV GL Business Assurance Limited's approval and DNV GL Business Assurance Limited holds the right to reject any application if application requirement and conditions are not met. Application fee for the Certificate is HK$1,000 per application.

Application procedure and submission:

1.  Application Form (application form can be obtained from programme team);
2.  Provide result copies of ED ERM;
3.  Application Fee HK$1,000 (payment in cheque only).

Applicants are required to submit the above item 1 to 3 to 34/F United Center, 95 Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong.   Attention made to Executive Diploma in Enterprise Risk Management Programme (Application for DNV GL certificate).

Policy and Guidelines of application for this certificate is subject to DNV GL Business Assurance Limited's policy and guidelines at the time enforce, this will be updated accordingly.

Application Procedure

Applicant should submit the following:

1. Application form

2. Application fee HK$150 (non-refundable)

3. Certified true copy of academic/ professional qualification (Applicant can bring along his/her original and copy of supporting documents to enrolment counter for certifying true copy).

4. HKID copy

Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrolment will be confirmed once you have made the payment. You will receive a payment confirmation after payment has been made processed successfully. You are advised to keep your payment confirmation for future enquiries.

Upon successful admission into the programme, student is require to follow enrolment procedure:

  2. Enrolment fee

Late applications /enrolments are subject to program leader’s approval and possible late payment charges.
