Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Preparation Courses (University of London)
Preparation courses designed for students taking University of London International Programmes LLB examinations and open to all on a first-come-first-served basis. Lectures and revision classes are given by leading UK academics and teachers.
PCLL Entry Eligibility
To attain the entry eligibility of the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL), candidates will have to demonstrate competence in 11 Core Subjects: Contract; Tort; Constitutional Law; Criminal Law; Land Law; Equity; Civil Procedure; Criminal Procedure; Evidence; Business Associations and Commercial Law.
Candidates who hold non-local law qualifications that are acceptable for the purpose of PCLL programme must also demonstrate competence in the following three Top-up Subjects: Hong Kong Constitutional Law; Hong Kong Legal System; Hong Kong Land Law.
Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to:
- identify key legal issues affecting banking and commercial practices in Hong Kong;
- gain an updated knowledge on commercial law in Hong Kong and Mainland China; and
- design and implement legal risk management plans to combat commercial crimes and money laundering activities
Note: The “Commercial Crimes and Money Laundering Law” module is not a CEF Reimbursement course.
