醫務化驗科學是一門應用精密儀器和技術來檢驗人體組織樣本、血液或其他體液樣本的學科。這些檢驗結果可為醫療人員提供關鍵性的資料，作為監察病人的健康狀況、診斷和治療疾病之用。講者會以日常實例講解醫學實驗室測試，疾病診斷的科學原理和健康監測之間的聯繫。令參加者了解更多應用於日常生活中的生物醫學與實驗室醫學的科學原理，提升他們對醫務化驗科學的興趣和學習動機。
