Entry Requirements

An applicant should normally hold:

• a Higher Diploma in Business (Accounting); or
• a Higher Diploma in Accounting and Higher Diploma in Financial Information Management (Double Award); or
• a Higher Diploma in Business (Accounting & Financial Planning); or
• a Higher Diploma in Business (Financial Services); or
• an Associate of Business Administration

awarded within the HKU system through HKU SPACE, or equivalent qualifications.

Applicants with other qualifications may be required to take additional units depending on the exemptions granted.

Graduates of the above-mentioned Higher Diplomas or Associate Degrees are normally considered as having met Curtin's English proficiency requirement. In other cases, applicants must provide proof of English proficiency by having:

• Level 3 or above in English Language in the HKCEE; or Grade C and/ or above in pre-2007 HKCEE for English Language (Syllabus B);or
• TOEFL minimum score of 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based) or 80 (internet based, 20 in each section); or
• Grade C or above in GCE O Level English; or
• International English Language Test (IELTS) with minimum scores of Writing & Speaking 6.0; Reading & Listening 6.0; Overall 6.0.

Remarks: Graduates completed two or more English Language units with a Grade Point Average of 3.0 in each unit from below institutions are considered as demonstrating the required English proficiency:

• Hong Kong Community College (under Hong Kong Polytechnic University)
• School of Continuing and Professional Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
• The Chinese University of Hong Kong - Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Community College
• College of International Education (underHong Kong Baptist University)
• Community College (City University of Hong Kong)

Candidates who are not able to demonstrate an acceptable level of competence in English will be required to sit for the Curtin University Test in English (CUTE).
